Browser-local tools (no data sent)
Our calculators, comparison tools, cost explorer, and scenario planners run entirely in your browser. No personal data or calculation inputs are sent to our servers or any third party.
These tools use localStorage and sessionStorage to save preferences, calculation history, watchlist selections, theme choice, and dashboard state. This data never leaves your browser and can be cleared via your browser settings.
Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID: G-0CEP7S9Y3J) to understand how visitors use our site. GA4 collects:
- Pages visited and time spent
- Referral source (how you found us)
- Device type, browser, and approximate location (country/city)
- Interaction events (clicks on key features)
GA4 sets cookies to distinguish unique visitors. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting the site's core functionality. Google processes this data under their privacy policy.
Newsletter & email subscription
If you subscribe to our newsletter or pricing updates, we collect your email address. Here's how it works:
- Storage: Your email is stored in Vercel KV (powered by Upstash Redis)
- Email delivery: Emails are sent via Resend
- What we send: A welcome email, an automated drip sequence (tips and feature updates over ~14 days), and occasional manual newsletters with pricing updates
- No spam: We do not sell or share your email with third parties
Price alerts
If you sign up for price alerts, we store:
- Your email address
- The AI models you selected for monitoring
This data is stored in Vercel KV. When a price change is detected by our monitoring logic, an alert email is sent to you via Resend.
Payment (Stripe)
Pro access purchases are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe handles all payment data under PCI-DSS compliance. After successful payment, we store a hashed access code in Vercel KV and send you the code via Resend.
Widget tracking
If you embed our pricing widget on your site, we record the embedding domain for distribution analytics. No personal data about your site's visitors is collected.
Unsubscribe
Every email contains an unsubscribe link. Clicking it sends a POST request to our unsubscribe API with your email and a verification token (HMAC-SHA256). Your email is removed from the newsletter subscriber list (apipulse:emails in Vercel KV). No further newsletter or drip emails will be sent.
Note: unsubscribing removes your email from the newsletter list only. Price alert subscriptions and purchase records are stored separately and are not affected by newsletter unsubscription. To remove those, see Data deletion below.
Data deletion
To delete all data associated with your email (newsletter subscription, price alert subscriptions, purchase records), contact hello@getapipulse.com. The unsubscribe mechanism removes your email from the newsletter list. Price alert subscriptions and purchase records require a manual deletion request.
What we do NOT do
- We do not display third-party advertising
- We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for their marketing
- We do not use tracking pixels beyond GA4
- We do not require account creation — all free tools work without signing up

- No other cookies — we do not set our own cookies for authentication or preferences
Your rights
Under GDPR and similar regulations, you have the right to:
- Access any personal data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your data
- Opt out of analytics by disabling cookies or using browser extensions
- Unsubscribe from emails at any time
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
